Our Work
The Sound Space’s dynamic workshops and sessions are crafted with a holistic approach, which aim to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of children and adults.
- Kamakshi & Vishala
We develop modules, programmes, interactive sessions and performances based learning which we started to share with schools, NGOs and corporate organisations. Currently, we are working with Mehli Mehta Music Foundation, J.B. Petit, Cathedral and John Connon School, American School of Bombay, Bombay International School along with NGOs like Muktangan and Mumbai Mobile Crèches. Teachers and participants alike have reported improved cognitive abilities, better understanding and enhanced concentration following the addition of The Sound Space’s module into their routines.
Music as a tool within the education segment is a rapidly developing phenomenon. At The Sound Space, we use music to:
- Enhance children’s cognitive and learning abilities
- Train teachers to use music as a tool for achieving various objectives
- Introduce our next generation to the beauty of traditional Indian music
We achieve these with three distinct activities.
- Creating specialised curricula for IB, CBSE and ICSE schools that seamlessly integrate with existing curriculums while upholding the philosophy of the institution.
- Shadaja – a platform that allows children and adults alike to explore a new medium of self-expression and understand Indian heritage better. The Shadaja programme culminates in inspiring musical events with renowned artists, allowing participants to showcase their talent, build confidence and revel in the joy of Indian music.
- Customised workshops to achieve specific educational objectives.
Music is an incredible galvanizer. It works at multiple levels. The Sound Space has designed a unique range of corporate programmes that use the power of music for:
- Team building
- Productivity enhancement
- Staff personal development
- Recreational events
- Retreats
The modules can be customised to each organisation to meet their articulated goals. They can be further enhanced by the engagement of The Sound Space’s network of renowned international and regional artistes to create bespoke musical experiences.
All this, while promoting Indian music and culture.
